I've spent the past couple of days tidying up the layout of (most of) my blogs here on Blogger. You've probably noticed the new layout. There's still some more to do - I've got a blue Twitter bird on at Theban Moon which looks very stylish. I want to run that through to this blog as well and add an icon for contact and tidy up the About Me section. But real progress and I can now sort of envisage how it will look.

I do need to add a links section to the Valley of the Kings blog. That'll take some time as I need to think whether to add a separate page menu or put a link in the top menu. I've also to decide where to host the page itself. There are various hacks to put static pages on blogger - but whether it's worth the effort of that much customisation to the template I'm not sure. I'm tempted to host it elsewhere. We'll see.

But that isn't my dilemma. I'm happy enough with my ones at and for various reasons they'll probably stay there, but much less happy with my self-hosted ones ... and they are my professional ones. My guess is I'll leave them be but that irony is that I paid to have them set up professionally .... and I think the ones I've set up myself look heaps better.
